About Us

Garforth Kippax and District U3A was formed in 2017 and is a part of the U3A Trust, a much wider national and international community whose aim is for people no, longer in full-time employment to:-

We have grown steadily over the years and now have over 200 members and 30 groups covering a wide range of interests and activities. Members are drawn from villages surrounding Garforth and Kippax including Swillington, Aberford, Barwick in Elmet, Scholes, Great and Little Preston, Micklefield and Ledston. However membership is not restricted to these villages.

We meet on the First Wednesday of the month at Garforth Working Men's Club on Barley Hill Road, Garforth at 1.30pm. These meetings usually feature a speaker and information about the interest group activities.

Visitors are welcome and can attend one of our general meetings. Interest Group taster visits are available - One group can be visited twice or Two groups once each before asking to join.
